Beautiful! Amazing!

As part of Talking Circle with Pam, our Indigenous Liaison, students created identity artwork! They created their handprint and then added the compliment words - some were chosen by other students in the class and some were chosen by themselves.

Original Comic Strip Project!

After studying French comic strips for the past month, students are now working on their final project: inventing their very own original comic strip!

Their comic must be 2 - 5 pages and have at least 12 panels. It must have at least one example of each element of a comic strip and be written in beautiful French. Students should use their creativity and show their best work.

Students will have time all this week in class to work on completing their comic strip. After that it will be homework.

The final project is due Monday, May 15th.

Google Doodles!

In Social Studies, each student researched a Canadian province or territory.
Using the results of their research, they had to create a Google Doodle including the following details:
-the flag
-the flower
-the population
-a symbol representing the capital city
-a symbol representing a tourist attraction
-a symbol representing an interesting fact
-any additional symbol

Can you guess the province or territory of each
Google Doodle?

Speechtastic!

It's time for another Speechtastic!

This time, students are preparing a Persuasive Speech. They have chosen a topic and are planning a 2-5 minute speech to convince the audience of their opinion. They should be sure to have an introduction, a middle (with all their arguments supported by details) and a conclusion.

Students are reminded to add their personality and really make the speech their own!

Speechtastic Presentations are Thursday, April 27th
