All the World's a Stage!

In English Language Arts, 6F2 has been exploring William Shakespeare's comedic play Twelfth Night!
First we read the storybook version to become familiar with the complicated plot and the many, many characters.
Next we read through the script of our adaptation of Twelfth Night.
On Monday, June 5th, students will audition by reading a passage from the script.
Parts will then be assigned, and play rehearsals will begin!
We hope to be able to present our play to other classes at the end of the month.

Talent Show!

This Thursday, June 1, we will be celebrating some very talented Knights.  Our singers, musicians, thespians and Rubik's cube masters will be putting on a show like none other, and all for a great cause. Our social justice team has decided that they would like raise funds for The Children's Hospital Foundation and here's how you can be a part of it all.
At the end of the show, students will have a chance to donate to The Children's Hospital Foundation by putting their coins or cash in their favourite act's donation station.  The act that raises the most funds, will be named the winner of Ness' Got Talent.
The show will begin around 1:00 pm., families and friends of Ness students are welcome to attend.

Speechtastic!

Our next Speechtastic is an Entertaining Speech.
Students are to prepare a 2-5 minute speech. It could be a humorous story, a scary story or a dramatic story.
Students: Remember that an entertaining speech is most effective when the topic is personal and you enjoy yourself. Try to keep it simple and tell your story like a roller coaster!

Speechtastic presentations are Tuesday, June 6th.
